Five students visited Rotherham United’s New York Stadium and Rotherham Riverside Library as part of a football themed reading initiative they have been involved in.
The day involved the students using the players’ lounge for silent reading, and presentations about football. There was also a tour of the stadium with a press conference where students asked the tour guide questions about the stadium and a visit to Rotherham Riverside Library where all the students became members.
One student said “I think the day made me much more confident at asking questions and I didn’t know what I could borrow from the library. It was amazing!”
